Promoting and assuring student academic success is our top priority. To that end, College One is responsible for overseeing the general education experience at UC Merced, including the required Core Course Sequence and the Freshman Seminar Program. College One provides a mechanism to connect students with advising and coursework that meets the UC Merced faculty principles for a well-rounded education. Its key responsibility is serving as a champion for the Guiding Principles for General Education created by the UC Merced faculty.
